Where can I download Windows Movie Maker?

Windows Movie Maker is a video editing program that was originally included with the Microsoft Windows operating system. Since 2017, however, Microsoft has discontinued releasing and supporting Windows Movie Maker, and has even removed the download link from their website.

Although Windows Movie Maker is no longer bundled with new Windows PCs, it is possible to download the Windows Movie Maker installation file and install the video editor on newer versions of Windows, including Windows 10.

Fortunately, we have saved the links to the archived download links, which you can use to download the original and genuine installation files that were originally published by Microsoft. Click here to access the download page.

Ever since the official download link was removed, malicious actors have taken advantage and begun releasing installer files with viruses or other scripts which demand payment for certain program functions. Please remember that Windows Movie Maker is completely free and you should not have to make any payments to download and use the software. Exercise caution when downloading software files from various websites, and verify that the files you downloaded are the genuine installation files that were originally published by Microsoft.
